Alyssia’s love of dance began at the tender age of 3, blossoming into a full-blown passion to pursue a career in the creative arts. This young lady is making strong strides in that direction with a resume that includes high profile ballet performances of the coveted role of the Pierrot Doll for the historic Joffrey Ballet’s 28th Nutcracker performance choreographed by The Joffrey Ballet’s late founder. As well as a double roll in the 2018 Tony Award winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon’s revision of the Nutcracker for the Joffrey Ballet.

Recently, Alyssia has expanded her resumes’ impressive creative credentials to include acting and modeling. She has be seen on the Fox Television Emmy- nominated show, Empire. In season 3, she played a young xylophone player that serenades principal actress Taraji P. Henson, aka “Cookie,” on behalf of a love interest, played by cast member Taye Diggs. In addition to scene stealing appearance, she also scored the role of young Candace, Cookie’s sister, Candace portrayed by Vivica A. Fox. Alyssia also has appeared on the History Channel/A&E networks, GEICO , as well as GoGo SqueeZ, and Jones Dairy Farm commercials. Including the 2019 American Girl, Girl of The Year product launch as well as the legendary skin care brand, Clearasil . She has appeared on NBC’s hit series Chicago Med ,Chicago Fire, and The Chi.

Alyssia has also recently added ambassador to her resume. She has been selected to be an ambassador for both Girls Who Brunch, a community organization that designed to cultivate, inspire, and empower young girls. As well as the nationally recognized organization, Brown Girls Do Ballet. In addition, Alyssia is the Vice Chair on the executive board for Dream For Kids, a an organization that's mission is to create social impact and change the world.

When Alyssia is not onstage, on set, or excelling academically, she is an enthusiastic and effective volunteer for the Joffrey Community Engagement program which fuels the love of movement and to provide equitable access for children in Chicago communities. She loves working with other children to be an inspiration in any capacity she can, including working on her very own initiative called Alyssia’s Dream. A 501(c)3 Organization with the purpose of providing ballet scholarships helping to fulfill the dance dreams of young girls of color whose parents may not be able to afford the prohibitive fees for proper ballet training.
